Design notes: The objective was to take the archetypal eyeglass frame favored by Buddy Holly,  bluesman Lightnin’ Hopkins and Roy Orbison, and elevate it to perfection.

Moss did this by thinning the original’s slab front to more elegant proportions and sandwiching it between a beveled top and beveled bottom. Positive space (the substance of the frame itself) and negative space (the lens apertures) are thus balanced harmoniously. The front also has a notable pantoscopic tilt, which combines with the beveled top to lend the frame assertiveness.
